Design, develop and deploy an ERP (enterprise resource planning) application to manage the production and distribution of wideformat printed branding solutions.
Spend time with managers and staff onsite to understand current production and distribution processes.
Design requirements specifications describing the planned solution for customer to sign off before starting development.
Develop a solution to manage and track Jobs which pass through approval stages, multiple production lines each with its own set of stages, outsourced production management, then to assembly and distribution, and finally to finance and reports.
Implement an advanced audit mechanism to track every change to every field in the database, and relating it to a visit to the site. This allowed a comprehensive reporting engine that could tell us the who/what/why/where of any change to the entire database.
Allow managers and staff complete control by providing detailed views including a master overview, calendar views, job and item views, production overviews, and reporting.
Provided ongoing development and support to continue improvement of the application.
